Bestie Banter: The Ultimate Card Game for Girls’ Nights & Social Gatherings

In 2018, we had the privilege of interviewing Isiuwa Igodan for the first time. Then, she was a bright and ambitious college student attending Pace University in New York City, managing her academic pursuits while working at BET Networks.

Fast forward and Isiuwa has evolved from a student with big dreams to an entrepreneur blazing her own trail with her latest venture: a social card game called Bestie Banter.

The idea for Bestie Banter came to her in May 2024 and she wasted no time turning it into reality. She conceptualized the game, bringing her vision to life in record time, and after receiving her first sample she spent the rest of the year tirelessly promoting the product.

Isiuwa’s grassroots approach to marketing led her to make every social gathering an opportunity to showcase Bestie Banter, even boldly introducing it to strangers on the street.

By November, the website was live, and pre-orders were open. In a beautiful show of early support, 60 games sold before the 500 boxes were even manufactured and delivered in January.

To celebrate the launch, Isiuwa hosted a Bestie Banter influencer-driven dinner, where socialites and their besties gathered to eat, drink, and, of course, play the game.

The event was not just a showcase of the game but also a demonstration to its purpose: creating meaningful connections and unforgettable memories. Bestie Banter is a celebration of friendship.

Designed to bring people together, it infuses laughter and lighthearted fun into game nights, parties, and social gatherings, and as of this month, Bestie Banter has sold 100+ games.

Watching Isiuwa’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From her early days as a college student navigating the world of media to now carving her own lane as an entrepreneur, she has continuously impressed us with her vision and determination. And with Bestie Banter, she’s tapped into the needs of adult communities who are tired of the same old games like UNO, creating a fresh, interactive experience that resonates with today’s social culture.
