Kid CEO Transforms Lemonade Stand Into E-Commerce Brand

At just six years old, Kyleigh McGee turned a fun summer activity into a career path in the beverage industry. She started with a lemonade stand in her grandparents’ front yard in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2016. Then, as word spread, demand grew, and so did her vision; her love for lemonade and her natural business savvy would take her far beyond her grandparents’ neighborhood.

In 2017, she and her mom purchased a mobile lemonade stand, allowing Kyleigh the freedom to take her business on the road and grow her customer base. During this time, she caught the attention of media outlets who wanted to highlight the work she was doing.

Now, at 14, Kyleigh has expanded Kyleigh’s Lemonade, introducing signature lemonade flavors made with real lemon juice and natural ingredients. As she puts it, her story started with making lemonade in cups from her truck and evolved into lemonade in bottles that can be mailed straight to your door.

And her product line, which includes the classic Original Lemonade as well as Pink and Strawberry flavors, has been tested and approved by the internet’s favorite food critic, Keith Lee. Looking forward, Kyleigh has said she hopes to make it to large retail shelves, making her product more accessible.
